Emile Birch project

We've finished the tiles for our solar installation.

These clay tiles have been stained yellow and glazed with red .They will be highlighted with painted details next time Mr. Birch comes to school - April 22.
All 214 tiles will be arranged in three pieces to be displayed at the Solar Fest in June, then installed in the corriders of EKES.This has been a fabulous project. Thanks to our parent volunteers, the "Theme Committee", to all the teachers for their flexibility, and to Emile Birch, NH sculptor.

4H sun medallions

Everyone is constructing collages to wear as part of our upcoming solar celebration in June.
This is a sun that likes baseball and one constructed from an old postcard.
